1st Malaysian in space (yup the actual space)

Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor (the Malaysian 'angkasawan'), with Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and American astronaut Peggy Whitson.
10th of October 2007 - mark a new record in Malaysia history. For the first time, Malaysian in space.
In 1997, under the spirit of Malaysia Boleh, Malaysians for the first time arrived on the top of Mount Everest. During the live telecast between the Prime Minister (Dr. Mahathir at that time) and the mountain climbers, one minister joked about the next aim is to the moon.
While I thought it was their inside joke (as of until 2007, there are no NASA or whoever expedition to the moon since Apollo-17), never I thought that the government surprise us with plan to put Malaysian in space with the angkasawan program.
During my childhood, while watching a the star sprangled banner on NASA space suit, I always ask, when will be the day that the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag) will be place there.
Thanks God, Thanks Malaysia, Thanks Dr. M.
